¿QUE SIGNIFICA SWAN UPON LEDA?
LEDA DE ESPARTA
La versión más popular de este mito dice que Leda era una mujer muy bella, tanto que el propio Zeus la deseaba. Un día, mientras caminaba junto al río Eurotas, se encontró con un bello cisne que escapaba del ataque de un águila. Lo protegió y éste la violó, que no era otro que Zeus transformado. Esa misma noche Leda también se unió a su esposo. Como consecuencia, puso dos huevos: de un nacen Pollux y Helena, hijos de Zeus inmortales; del otro, Cástor y Clitemnestra, hijos mortales de Tindáreo a su marido y rey de Esparta.

En esta canción el autor trata de enlazar la falta de libertad y las injusticias del mundo actual, como el reclutamiento de niños soldado, la maternidad prematura forzada etc con el mito de Leda y el cisne, ya que representa, a sus ojos, la falta de libertad de una mujer forzada a cometer un acto horrible.
